Amos Hurlbut (February 13, 1792 - March 26, 1873) was a farmer in the southern end of West Hartford, Connecticut, adjoining property in Newington.

Hurlbut was born on February 13, 1792 in West Hartford, Connecticut, as the son of Stephen Hurlbut and Abigail Meeker. He grew up in West Hartford and remained there in the southern end of town his whole life. After his marriage in 1827, he settled down in the village of Elmwood, where he remained to raise his family as a farmer.

Hurlbut died in West Hartford, Connecticut, on March 26, 1873.
